There’s so much to do and see in the 14,000-square-mile region locals call Daniel Boone country. Whether you prefer to spend time in nature’s playground or enjoy the finer things in life, there are adventures to be had in Eastern Kentucky. It’s a destination worth adding to your travel itinerary.

Get out on the water

You can get your fill of boating, fishing, kayaking, and even wildlife watching on the half a dozen lakes that call Eastern Kentucky home. There’s no better way to enjoy the water than on one of our region’s vast lakes.

Walk the sites

Stroll in famous Kentuckians’ footsteps by following the Country Music Highway, visiting Loretta Lynn’s birthplace, and seeing the notorious Hatfield and McCoy feud sites in Eastern Kentucky.

Hike and camp
